  Congratulations to Ryan Newman for winning his eighth Winston Cup race of 2003 in the "Banquet 400" at Kansas. Matt Kenseth has one win this season. Go figure the NASCAR point system. There is no denying 2003 belongs to Newman. 
  Congratulations to Ryan Newman for winning his seventh Winston Cup race of 2003 in the "MBNA America 400" at Dover. Will there be more to come this year? I say yes.
  Congratulations to Ryan Newman for winning his sixth Winston Cup race of 2003 in the "Chevy Rock & Roll 400" at Richmond. Love who you will NASCAR fans but week in and week out Ryan is the man to beat. He's up to Cup career win number seven - and counting!

* William R. "Bob" Jennings (1920 - 1982) - my dad who took me to my first five "Indianapolis 500" events
* Steve Schern (1945 - 1995) - from whom I learned to love racing 
* Guy Nadeau (1941 - 2000) - "Roarin' Roy" my best buddy - I miss you
* Tony Hulman (1901 - 1977) - he saved the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from destruction and made the "Indianapolis 500" into the "greatest spectacle in racing"
* Tony Bettenhausen (1916 - 1961) - the "Tinley Park Express" - my first racing hero
* Jim Clark (1936 - 1968) - the "Flying Scot" - in my opinion the greatest racing driver the sport has ever known
